Age calculator — your exact age, to the day

Type in a date of birth and AgeCalc works out the exact age in years, months and days — plus total days lived, the weekday of the birth, and a countdown to the next birthday. Free, instant, and private.

🔒 100% private: the dates you enter never leave your device. All calculations happen in your browser — nothing is uploaded, stored, or seen by us.

More than just "how old am I?"

Most people only ever think of age as a single number that changes once a year. AgeCalc breaks it down the ways forms, family and curiosity actually ask for it.

✓

Exact age

Years, months and days — the precise figure official forms want when "almost 18" or "just turned 65" is not good enough.

#

Your life in numbers

Total days, months, weeks and hours since the day you were born — including every leap day, counted from the real calendar.

🎂

Next birthday

The date and weekday of your next birthday, exactly how many days are left, and the age you'll turn — handy for planning the party.

How the age calculator works

1

Enter the birth date

Pick the date of birth. Leave "Age at date" as today, or set any past or future date — a school cutoff, a deadline, a big day coming up.

2

Real calendar math

AgeCalc subtracts the dates on the actual calendar, borrowing days from the correct months and counting leap years properly — not a rough "days ÷ 365".

3

Read your results

Your exact age, your totals, the weekday you were born, and your next birthday — all appear instantly, on your own device.

Want the pencil-and-paper method too? Our guide to how to calculate age walks through it step by step with a worked example.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my exact age?

Enter your date of birth above and press Calculate age. You'll get your age in years, months and days — the exact figure, not just whole years.

What day of the week was I born on?

AgeCalc shows it directly under your exact age — for example, "Born on Tuesday, March 14, 1995". It's worked out from the calendar on your own device, so it's exact for any date.

How many days old am I?

Look at the Total days result after calculating. AgeCalc also shows your total months, total weeks and total hours, and leap days are included automatically. Our guide to age in days, months and years explains how each total is counted.

When is my next birthday?

The results include your next birthday's date and weekday, the number of days remaining, and the age you'll turn. If today is your birthday, AgeCalc congratulates you instead of counting down.

Can I work out someone's age on a specific date?

Yes — set "Age at date" to that day. Parents use it for school enrolment cutoffs, and it's equally handy for licences, competitions, benefits and retirement dates.

Is my date of birth private?

Completely. The calculator runs in your browser; the dates you enter are never uploaded or stored anywhere. You could disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it would still work.
